As summer winds down we find ourselves saying goodbye to not only sunshine and free time (for some) but also summer produce. I honestly only eat blueberries in the summertime, when they are the most flavorful. However, overzealously I bought two huge bags at my local farmers market and I am not going to eat them all before they go bad. I decided to make some jam that I can use in some other fun recipes. I plan on sharing more of these recipes throughout the week. Make this jam this weekend and follow along with me!
Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh blueberries
- 1 cup cane sugar
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1/4 cup honey
Method
- In a sauce pan on medium heat combine blueberries, sugar, and lemon juice
- Stir with a wooden spoon constantly until thickened (30 minutes)
- Once the jam has thickened turn off the heat and stir in the honey
- Let cool before eating and store in the fridge
