These puff pastry rolls require just a few ingredients, come together easily, and are able to be served at any time of day.
The combination of apple butter and goat cheese is so tasty! These will not last long!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup homemade or store bought apple butter (use this recipe)
- 4 oz goat cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 sheet store bought puff pastry
Method
- Heat oven to 400 degrees
- Grease 8 cups of a muffin tin with butter
- On a lightly floured work surface, use a rolling pin to flatten the puff pastry sheet
- Turn the pastry so the longer end is closest to you
- Carefully spread the apple butter all over the pastry dough
- Spread the goat cheese on top of the apple butter layer (they will mix together)
- Use a pizza cutter to cut the pastry in half, each half in half, and each of those halves, in half as well to make 8 strips (see video)
- Carefully roll each strip up into a spiral
- Sprinkle the rosemary over the top
- Place each spiral/roll in a muffin cup
- Bake for 30-45 minutes
- Let cool in tin for 5 minutes before carefully removing
