Making granola at home is super easy and is so much cheaper than getting it from the store. I love to make some using leftover pantry items- like this recipe featuring coconut!
Ingredients
- 2 cups of oats
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
- 3-4 tablespoons chia seeds
- 1 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons brown coconut sugar
- 2 tablespoons sunflower oil
Method
- Heat oven to 350
- In a large bowl- combine the oats, almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, and coconut
- Mix in the sugar, coconut oil, sunflower oil, and maple syrup
- Pour the mixture on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spread thin
- Bake for 12 minutes
- Take out of the oven and mix around
- Bake for 5 minutes more
- Let cool completely
